Solid and well put together except for one thing It looks beautiful but it came slightly damaged. The very bottom board is NOT solid wood. It is a wood composite and where there was a drilled hole previously, it was damaged either through transit or originally when the board was made. Clearly if this was the case someone shipped it any way. We had to use wood glue to get it back together which did not make me happy since this bottom board holds all the weight. Just documenting in the event it ever fails.

Distressed White Board Kitchen Island The product comes as promised and is very solid. Totally happy with the quality and price for this item. If you aren't to good at putting stuff together then get help, it is a little tricky: The top piece is around ninety pounds, so get help moving it into place. Overall its a great piece of furniture. Had a lot of positive comments from friends on it.

Nice island but a little work was needed The island was exactly what I was looking for. Great size, plenty of extra space to store things and a nice size counter top. The only drawback with this piece was that 1) we had to redrill holes to allow for the shelving to be leveled (had we not, the shelf would of been lopsided) and 2) putting the draw in proved to be difficult. Other than those two quality related issues, I love the way it looks in my kitchen and since it's been up, I've received lots of compliments on it.

Impresses guests Love it! This is a heavy, sturdy piece. Assembley is really a two-person job. Our guests cannot believe it came from an online vendor. It's beautiful and is a great piece for creating extra counter space and storage. It has a big "footprint" so measuring first is important. We recommend you assemble it in the exact space you want it to be. Because of its weight, it doesn't slide easily and sliding may damage flooring.

many parts missing I'm very frustrated with this item. Item came in two large boxes. I unpacked it, checked the parts list against the instructions and began assembling it. I almost immediately ran into a parts problem. The part was not listed on teh Parts list so I didn't know it was missing. Ordered the part. It came about 7 days later. Again began assembling and again realized I am missing several more parts. Third time will be the charm I hope. I have now gone through all the pages of instructions and double checked against the parts list. I've assembled a lot of furniture in my day and have been fortunate not to have ever had this problem. Now I have a very large, very heavy piece of furniture sitting in my kitchen half assembled for several weeks. I was going to order the matching pantry but have decided against this plan.

I respectful salesman Bought two of these to replace our flood destroyed kitchen bar. Was unable to check until one day after warranty expired due to space limitations. Was told by the salesman that he could not replace the written scars on the granite. You think when you spend this kind of money you could get better service. Do not buy from Home Styles furniture but if you buy anything that has granite check for marks Ours had a square with the number 1500 in it. Sales mans name. *** Beware!

Don't have time to take pictures, but I will tell you that we love this island. It looks good from every angle! On the end shelves that face our entry way, I've placed some decorative ware. On the opposite end near the sink, I have used the shelves for jars of rice, granola, chia seeds, etc. There are two shelves inside that can be adjusted and are quite roomy. The stool side has a leaf that is hinged for raising and lowering. We keep it raised most of the time, but it's nice to have the option. My husband put the island together and had none of the problems some others have mentioned. The top is REALLY heavy! Ideally, you need four guys to put this in place comfortably. We did it with three and little old me. :)

As I recall, the extender requires assembly. However it would not appear unfinished if you didn't put it on. I do find it comes in handy and when folded down, does not take up too much room.

1. Counter top does not come attached to the island and comes in one single piece that needs to set on top of the frame. Very easy but requires additional help for its weight. 2. Do not think so as it comes in one piece.

One side of the unit has cabinetry and the other, where the drop shelf is placed has none. I believe ti was only made to be on one side. I absolutely love this product, as it sturdy, beautiful and it only took an hour to put together. granite on top is beautiful and solid!
